Noushin Darya Framke is an Armenian/Iranian-American who has lived in the U.S. since 1978 when she arrived as a college student. Her freshman year turned out to be the year of the Iranian Revolution. She is a writer who lives in New York City and is involved in advocacy and education at the grassroots level on the Israel/Palestine conflict. Noushin’s inspiration for speaking out for the voiceless is her maternal grandmother who was a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, who walked into Iran in 1915 as a 10 year-old refugee. As a Presbyterian Ruling Elder, Noushin serves on ACREC, the Advocacy Committee for Racial Ethnic Concerns of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a liaison from that committee to MRTI – the Committee on Mission Responsibility Through Investment. She also serves as the Communications Chair for the Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (USA) www.theIPMN.org . She holds degrees in English and Philosophy from The George Washington University.
