Hurricane winds blow
and tear down electric poles,
but we cannot allow them to sweep away
our calling to be light for the world.
Prepare the way for the Lord;
make his paths straight.
Torrential rains fall
and turn streets into rivers,
but we cannot allow them to submerge
our calling to be a bridge for the world.
